Jobs and the Economy
Helping to foster a strong economic recovery with job creation will be my top priority if elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.  We are experiencing the deepest recession our country has faced since the Great Depression of the 1930‚  Still, the U.S. worker is the most productive of any in the world.  The capitalistic system is the best hope for a prosperous future.  The engine to economic growth will continue to be expansion and support of our small business sector.  We can support our businesses and respect our workers at the same time.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Political success is built with the invaluable help of volunteers. In fact, without them, no campaign will succeed. Volunteering can mean many things and can be as easy as sending five dollars or as time-consuming as knocking on doors and putting up signs.

Easter and Passover

I'd like to extend my warmest wishes to everyone on this Easter holiday.  Like millions of others throughout the world, my family will be celebrating Easter with our faith community.  This afternoon, my 3 children will be out searching for Easter eggs!

To our Jewish community, I wish you a peaceful Passover.

God bless,

Nasser

U.S. Economy Added 162,000 Jobs in March, Most in 3 Years

We often hear that the democrats are not doing enough for the economy. Good article over at the New York Times shows that many of the recent policy changes are finally paying off:

" Employers added 162,000 jobs last month, and employment numbers in the previous two months were revised upward. Nationwide, the unemployment rate held steady at 9.7 percent.
To many ordinary, out-of-work Americans, the recovery may finally start to feel real.

Sarah Palin urges people to "pull over" cars with Obama bumper stickers .... and say, 'So how is that hopey, changey thing...

I just heard this morning that "common sense conservative" Sarah Palin which represents "real America" is encouraging her right wing supporters to "pull over" people with Obama bumper stickers and say "So how is that hopey, changey thing working out for ya?"
